AM TODAY

Artist Mosaic
The forum where, art, culture, heritage, enterprise, creativity and modern opportunity converge!

We acknowledge the need; we can all validate the reason
THE QUESTION IS HOW

‘In the African Diaspora the manner in which creativity is expressed often defies the boundaries set by western culture. The poet for example is oft philosopher. The sculptor may be a textile artist. Literally! Then each, Poet, Musician, Dancer, Philosopher, Sculptor and Artist, invariably finds everyday utilitarian objects on which to transcribe their message. Sitting, sleeping, drinking even the very clothing they wear while creating! All are part of the canvas. The community not only enjoys and supports through barter and trade, but are active participants in its creation. In the absence of village, and village squares,

‘Artist Mosaics’ takes a communal space and creates that opportunity!’

Artist Mosaic bills itself as a forum where

AM artium magister (Master of Arts).

Aim: This project was designed specifically for individuals who have marketable self-reliance skills & talents as well as natural abilities that can be developed into products.

ART as Micro Enterprise: Art for Social enterprise!
Artist mosaic was started with the objective of answering the question
“How do I create a definable product by which I can feed my self and my family?” Artist Mosaics was developed, based on years spent seeking the same answers. These artists are not only potentially self-employable but themselves future employers, there is vast potential for Cultural Tourism. While most of the ideas have been initialized, it will take a vast amount of support to successfully implement! Tools and resources for research are emphasized! Artist Mosaic provides opportunities for product development and direct audience presentation at a critical stage. Effort is made towards archival documentation processes, oft needed in promotional press kits, portfolios, grant and loan solicitation. Artist must make personal contracts to themselves and other member of their group. A test group was initialized in January with seminars, followed by test on other AM Signature Components “Edutainment, AM yahoo groups, art/business facility, sponsoring, grant and funding opportunity as well as youth programs.

JAZZPAZAZZ PRESERVATION SOCIETY INC sponsors the artist Mosaic project
AM believes that duplication of efforts and waste of resources can be prevented by pairing groups/individuals with non-profits that share common missions.

‘Artist Mosaic’ believes that the ability to provide for oneself is a right not a privilege.

AM was conceived and developed by Ms Bonnie Sandy. Ms Sandy is producing this program in collaboration with Jazzpazazz Preservation Society, and has been discussing the possibility of collaborating with other supporting organizations, individuals, artist groups, businesses and venues. For info
